What resolution and codec do you use before uploading to vimeo?

I record the movies with the BlueMSX emulator. Later I convert them MPEG or AVI and upload them to Vimeo because the quality is much better then Youtube.

And how you convert to MPEG or AVI? What encoder do you select when create the videoclip in bluemsx?
