Extracting files from a 'Basic to rom' conversion

I know there is the utility to convert a 16k Basic program to a rom but is there a utility that can reverse the process. Converting a rom to a Basic program that you know indeed was originally Basic.
The specific game I was refering to was Warrior by Ascii. I've never got it to run under any configuration. I have got a partial Basic listing of it but it's not perfect and the listing doesn't show the end of the rom which I think may contain data.
I thought since it was so hard to run as a rom, a normal Basic version that loaded from either tape or disc might be easier to use.
