Hello, I'm French (so sorry for my English ^ _ ^) and a fan of the Back to the Future trilogy.
Currently I'm looking for the game Back to the future Adventure released on MSX 2 which doesn't seem easy to find: - /.
I'm looking on Yahoo auction, Amazon.jp, Rakuten.jp or Suruga-Ya...

That's why I come here, I tell myself that maybe here I will have clues ...
Thank you and see you soon in the future (and for the most curious, see my signature;))

Hello there!

I’m new to this MSX forum.

Does anybody have the ‘KONAMI NEW GAMES 1990’ flyer shown in pictures on this website?

Here is a link to it:

If so, I’d be very interested in a high resolution scan of the page on Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.

I’m currently working on a project to reverse engineer how the Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake team built their reference model for METAL GEAR D, and I’m looking to get my hands on as many reference photos as possible. The Metal Gear 2 advertisement in this KONAMI NEW GAMES flyer contains a unique marketing photo of the model which hasn’t appeared anywhere else.

For anybody who is interested, you can reach out to me or follow the progress of my model build project on Twitter @MetalGearDmodel .

Thank you,

Hello,
First of all, hello and thank you for this forum.

I'm probably not in the right place to ask my question, but I'm trying :-)

I once had a CX5M, which broke down.
I found old cassettes for the YRM501, and I use BlueMSX while waiting to buy a CX5M if I find one not too expensive.
I did not understand how to insert cassettes in this emulator and if someone has already used it, I would accept help.
Thank you in advance.
Bonjour,

Merci d'avance.

I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing trouble, but the search button doesn't work on my pc (win 7 64 bits explorer 10).
When I try to search metal gear, ranma, rambo or whatever, it will show the game in the list but when I click the program if tells me nothing found and doesn't show the game ??
When I click metal gear in the popular list down below it show metal gear, so I know it's there :)
Is this a known problem due to the new interface ?

Guys,

After three years pursuing a full konami collection for the msx, I'm getting really close to my goal. I started collecting loose cartriges, then I moved on to complete games. In this process I've acquired many duplicates and that is what I'm seeling now.

Pictures of almost everything (there is about 4-5 missing that I'll upload on monday as I don't have access to a decent camera now):

[picasaweb.google.com]#
48 games total, everything is tested and working fine.

These are the rules:

- Shipping worldwide from Brazil
- I accept Paypal gift only
- I won't split the lot as I don't have time to manage multiple sales, so it is all or nothing.

Hey folks,

I am hoping that someone might be able to help me out in finding an old msx game for a friend of mine. The game she's looking for, as she remembers it, was about a guy, with a sword who is trying to defend a crown. While playing, you can pile up corpses to stop the enemies from getting to you. The only other things that she can remember is that the board was shaped like this <=> (i'm thinking hex squares). It looks "similar to Master of Monsters for the msx, but crappier" (her description :p). She also said that the background was black, and the red lines form the hexagon field.

The bad guys come from the top and work their way down to the bottom. They only came in single colors, and the player had two colors (as far as she remembers, at least.) The only bad guys she remembers are skeletons (and possibly mummies), and when they died, they take up a hex space. While fighting, you see a sort of flashing whirlwind animation.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Since 1998, Hans Otten maintained a very interesting website for all the MSX fans, especially the coders and the hardware experts, as it includes many technical guides and programming sources.

Since almost a month, this website was no more available as Hans has deleted it for some personal reasons. It was a shock for the MSX community, that’s the reason why I’ve decided to create a mirror on the MSX blue domain.

This mirror is corresponding at 98 % with the original website. I’ll add later the Rom Dumps part and the missing MSX Club Diskmagazines. What concerns other missing files, concerned people can contact me : mars2000 AT skynet.be

This time, the deadline has been fixed to 31 January 2011 : the coders have therefore more than 10 months to develop superb new games for the best 8-bit system !

Discover all the rules on the official website ! They are very similar to the 2009 rules, with exception for the way the jury is composed (a new system inspired by the Passion MSX2 Contest) and a rule concerning the release of a game on cartridge before the end of the contest.

Hi All,

In order to finance my konami msx collection I've decided to sell my doubles instead of trading. So here are the rules:

1) I'll ship anywhere from Brazil, economic mail (2-4 weeks) for a single game is free, express mail (4-6 days) is $25.
2) I accept paypal gift only (or +4%), the exception is if you are in Brazil as well then we can work something else if you wish to.
3) I'll ship the next day after receiving payment unless it is a weekend or a holiday, then I'll ship on the next weekday
4) I'll throw in a free random game with each purchase (I can give you the choices after your purchase, the free game is shipped free of charge by economic mail)
5) I have references on ebay: [myworld.ebay.com]
6) All games are CART ONLY unless specified otherwise
7) What you see is what you get
8) I'll post this ad on other forums as well, so First-come, first-served. I rather keep it off ebay and such.
9) Offers and questions email me at eduardo.peixoto@gmail.com

Hey All,

I have some MSX Games duplicates that I want to trade for something else, either konami games that I don't have for any other systems (really any system) or non konami ps3 games are welcome (all Originals please). But I'll hear your offer none the less.

This is my ebay profile as a buyer (I don't usually sell anything) [myworld.ebay.com] (100% positive)

I have around 12 konami doubles plus 50-60 from other game makers. I'll list the konami's first and the rest later on. So here we go!

All games are cartridge (all jap versions) only unless specified otherwise:
- Hyper Olimpic 1
- King Kong 2
- Nemesis 2
- King's Valley
- Pennant Race
- Salamander

The symbiosis Passion MSX - MSX blue (no replies)

For the first time in the MSX history on Internet, two bilingual (English – French) websites are conceived in perfect symbiosis, in a way that each site has its originality but also that both sites are alternative and complementary to each other.

You will find the originality of each site not only in its layout and the very different features (Passion MSX is under Xoops, MSX blue is under WordPress), but also in exclusive contents for each site :

* Passion MSX : the picture gallery, the cheats, the classified ads, the manuals, the publications, the game boxes, the pub videos, the PC Goodies, the reviews that are not about games

* MSX blue : the MP3 files (and later other surprises !) – from now on, the MP3 files of the Impact songs are only available on MSX blue.

On the contrary, both sites will give most of the infos and share what can be found in DSK, CAS or ROM format (demos, games, diskmagazines, music disks, tools) and the reviews about games.

SuperCobra and mars2000 hope so that they will give even more fun to the MSX community !
