Thanks, but the Adventure Quest one is already on the site. When I have some time I'll try to remember to add the other one.by Manuel - MSX Software Database
Those png files should be OK, so something else is probably going wrong. No idea what, though... Maybe Sylvester can comment.by Manuel - MSX Software Database
msxbas, that sounds like a very complicated way of doing things. It's much easier to use an emulator that supports screenshots directly, like openMSX or blueMSX. Also, there is less chance that there are emulation errors and cropping errors.by Manuel - MSX Software Database
By the way, I checked Clapton II: the problem is that the game has flickering sprites. If you make a screenshot at the wrong time, the sprites could just be off and thus missing. Best way to make screenshot: pause the emulator to see if it's going to be OK, and then make the shot. Then you know what you'll get.by Manuel - MSX Software Database
I finally scanned the Eaglesoft cover and put the other scanned covers at the right release.by Manuel - MSX Software Database
Updated list of still relevant issues: ideas: [2] a way to see the complete game list of companies like Aackosoft, including subcompanies like Eaglesoft (publisher only! some people put it as developer, but it's purely publishing), Bytebusters (developer only, published by Eaglesoft), Methodic Solutions (rename of Bytebusters? If the emulator is correct (i.e. bug free) this program should not be necessary, really. I've never had problems in e.g. openMSX. Please mention this problem to the author of blueMSX, so he can fix it!by Manuel - MSX Software Database
Do you mean this game: Well, we're not giving it to you, sorry. It's against the policies of this site.by Manuel - MSX Software

Note that the data in the database (all data, forums, msxdb, etc.) is still in iso, and should still be converted to UTF-8. Just a reminder, Sandy :)by Manuel - MSX Software Database
Test: Uşas is a cool game and the Japanese title of MoG is ガリウスの迷宮by Manuel - MSX Software Database
Let's integrate these cheats in Generation MSX! Sandy, please contact me on IRC to discuss this.by Manuel - MSX Software
Sounds like a bug in your emulator. Try another one to be sure.by Manuel - MSX Software Database
Hello, Who added this: Isn't it a duplicate from this: If so, please remove it again, or I will remove it, as I can't see the difference, other than the year, which might just be wrong.by Manuel - MSX Software Database
I have the original tape, in two versions, and the cover has no trace of Comptiq whatsoever. My covers do not contain any logo of Erbe, because it was released in the Netherlands and not in Spain. Actually, the cover is exactly the one you can find at Release 1 in Generation MSX, it's the right one. (The left one is the ERBE version.) Those covers clearly have "MSX 64K" on them,by Manuel - MSX Software Database
Thanks! I added Sharp-Epcom, the Brazillian company that produced the Hotbit stuff in Brazil and also released bootlegs of MSX software on cartridge with their own name on it. Check the game list! Can someone add the missing entries? The Epcom carts have a clear product ID and there are many missing, still.by Manuel - MSX Software Database
Thanks for that info. Can someone set Image Works as a sub company of Mirrorsoft in the Company administration? (I can't do it right now.)by Manuel - MSX Software Database
OK, great, thanks! Only 9 wishlisth items and 2 bugs remaining... (for now :P)by Manuel - MSX Software Database
[13] In the backend you can't often see the difference between 2 releases, It would help if the medium would be shown in the view as well. (It's often a disk and a cart release, but you can't see which is which if the product ID's aren't known...)by Manuel - MSX Software Database
To the person who added this: I don't think that the added ROM release exists. AFAIK there's only been released a tape version in Spain, which I added. OTOH: *maybe* it was also released in the UK, as the box also mentions Mirrorsoft. Or is that the same as Image Works, really? But I have never seen any evidence of a UK release. The text of the game is in English, which might indicatby Manuel - MSX Software Database
Oh, we can also start a bug list: [1] When using a quote (') in a Notes field, it ends up as \' in the web page [2] Unicode doesnt' work properly in this forum, see my previous post. It works fine in the games db, check the Usas (with s-cedille, actually pronounced as You-Shaz) entry :)by Manuel - MSX Software Database
About [10]: should work for the Livesearch as well. (Try to find Uşas now, if you spell it as Usas....)by Manuel - MSX Software Database
Aackosoft was just an example. Sorry for being unclear.by Manuel - MSX Software Database
About [7]: I actually meant Notes for a game cover! :) Sorry about that.by Manuel - MSX Software Database
Well, if we're listing ideas anyway, I still have the following feature requests (already passed to Sandy via IRC as well): [1] a way to see the complete game list of Aackosoft, including subcompanies like Eaglesoft (publisher only! some people put it as developer, but it's purely publishing), Bytebusters (developer only, published by Eaglesoft), Methodic Solutions (rename of Bytebby Manuel - MSX Software Database
Cool, thanks! :) It seems I have 2 separate accounts though :) Ah well.by Manuel - MSX Software Database
It's good that you asked here before changing all MIA games to Al-Alamiah games! :)by Manuel - MSX Software Database
Yes, Wataru is right. THis is also in the company info of the MIA company in the database.by Manuel - MSX Software Database
Those things are difficult to check without the original package. Maybe we should ask Martos, as he made those .cas images... so he msut have had the original package. I think we mostly don't mention the company who did the conversion, so you can only know it for sure (to some degree0 by checking the package.by Manuel - MSX Software Database
