Metal-Gear
Hi all I'm so happy to have found this page! With the blueMSX emulator I can play all this classic games again, that I used to play a long time ago. But here is my question: Is it possible to save in Metal-Gear? When I push the F7 button, the game crashes. Thanks Andi

You can save in Metal Gear, but it saves to a Tape. I never tryed it in bluemsx, but I guess you need to insert a blank tape or so before you can save. Also there seems to be a hacked version of Metal Gear that can save to disk, but I don't have that one.
Do you know where I can find that version? Or how is it possible to get a virtual tape to save on? Thanks for your quick reply!
You can find the hacked version with saving feature on disk in this thread of the NLMSX forum (see my answer under my name) : http://nlmsx.generation-msx.nl/phorum-3.4.4/read.php?f=2&i=192&t=192 You can also use the save state feature of blueMSX About saving on a virtual tape in blueMSX : By default, the CAS files are in only reading mode. So, to use a CAS file in writing mode, you must first change that in the cassette menu. You can create then a new empty CAS file by typing a new name in the filename field of the cassette insertion menu.
Thanks for help! I managed to save by using the save CPU state function.
Where can I download the NES or another version of M.G.? sgk@post.sk Thanks.
