suggestion for one more searching option

Anonymous Apr 24, 2007 at 13:06

How about this? I just tried to search games Konami made but which were not published by Konami. I wrote Konami as developer and of course it gave me all games developed by konami, not just those which weren´t published by konami. I think there could be another option to make life easier: "Developer who has just made these games but has NOT published them." Like Konami´s SPARKIE and MOUSER and etc...... Maybe someone has better and shorter name for my option? :)

Your option is called: I want to specify negative search terms. So, negation... Easy to do with SQL, but it's not in the form indeed :)

Sandy, any idea for this? Also, it would be nice to be able to search on sound chip ("which games use MSX-MUSIC?")

Never mind, it is already implemented :) (But not the negative search terms...)

another need: search for BOTH rom AND megarom games! as ROM doesn´t give Nemesis (and other megarom games) at all... it would be much easier to search all cartridge games if you can search both rom and megarom carts same time

little bit more to my previous suggestion: Could THIS be more useful? If user presses down CTRL (or whatever key), user could select several medium types same time (selected ones would get "painted" to blue colour). Hope you understand what I am talking about, it´s a bit hard to tell about ideas using non-native language.... ;) Is it possible to make such thing for generation msx? And of course you can use same idea for all searching options: sound, system, publisher, etc........ And then you don´t have to put there any more medium types (like "ROM + MEGAROM"). greetings, MäSäXi

Yeah, I also had this problem, trying to search for both ROM and MegaROM is impossible now...
