As it is indicated in https://tcrf.net/Fray:_In_Magical_Adventure_(MSX2) to get the debug menu you have to "While playing, press Shift to open the game menu. Choose the 3rd option (System), and then highlight the BGM option. Now, hold C and wait for the text screen to appear completely; once it appears and while still holding C, press Up, Up, Down, Down, Right, Left, Right, Left, X. If done right, the debug menu will appear. " , the keys must be pressed fast, if it appears the blinking cursor, you haven't done it right.
The options are:
1- The money
2- Map/screen/part of the game that you want to go
3- Load a saved game
4- All the items that you have are increased by 1
5- Effect play test
6- You can not fall
7- Infinite energy, it is never decreased

This anime game has a lot of humour in it. Although the game is played in a rather straight line it still has plenty of diversions and fun to make it an exciting game to play.
Also the graphics are very nicely done.
